Meet Your Hosts:
Julie Hansen
Julie has been an Early Childhood Educator for 20 years, having received her Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Douglas College. Since then, she has gained experience in a variety of areas within the field of Early Childhood Education, including Director of a preschool, supervisor of after-school care, as well as programs for 3-5 year olds and infants, and centre management. Her primary focus has evolved to encompass team leadership, management training and program development. She has had articles published in provincial and national early childhood education (ECE) journals on the topics of emergent curriculum and leadership. Her goal as an Early Childhood Educator and facilitator is to support fellow educators and early years professionals in providing high-quality early learning experiences for children and families.
Carla Ward
As an advocate for Early Childhood Education, Carla’s passion is to support educators in their journey to provide the best possible learning experiences for our youngest learners. Carla is thrilled to offer a range of solutions designed to empower and equip Early Childhood Educators at all levels. One of her most significant initiatives is professional development workshops. These workshops cater to everyone involved in early childhood education, from educators in the profession, consultants, and administrators. Recognizing the diverse roles and responsibilities within our profession, Carla developed workshops that address a wide range of topics.
